The IDeaL Education Foundation awards scholarships to deserving Chicago-area male high school and undergraduate college students at its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Luncheon. The scholarship is awarded to minority nominees who have demonstrated a need and a willingness to continue an educational mission toward a college education.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • African-American male high school senior or undergraduate at a four-year college/university
  • Cumulative grade point average of 2.8 or greater (4.0 scale)
  • Involvement in church, community, and/or school-site activities
  • Plans to enroll at a 4-year college/university
Please be advised that Scholarship awards will be presented on January 19, 2019 at the foundation’s annual MLK Scholarship Luncheon.
All Scholarship winners are expected to be in attendance.
